Thanks to the many helping hands
The Bad Saulgau food bank has been acting according to the motto “Save food, protect the climate” since 2006! Today, the 32 volunteers collect high-quality food from bakeries, supermarkets and companies and distribute it to people in need. The Tafel currently issues around 570 shopping cards and supplies more than 1,400 people.
But the food bank offers much more than just food. For many people, the rooms are their central place for social interaction and good conversation – their place to leave loneliness and social isolation behind for a few hours. The fact that the helpers simply listen to them and give them a genuine smile is often the first step towards a better future.
Despite the commitment of the volunteers and the food donations from bakeries, supermarkets and companies, the food bank cannot manage without financial support. After all, storage rooms, refrigerated vehicles and energy cost money. And because the food bank does not receive any public funding, the association relies on financial donations from private individuals and organizations. We also want to make a contribution – and have therefore decided to support the Tafel Bad Saulgau this year.
The positive feedback we receive time and again shows that we are acting in the interests of our employees, customers and business partners with this commitment. We are therefore convinced that it is the right decision to forego gifts at Christmas and instead use the money for a social project. We would like to thank you all for this!
