Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) processes freely configurable in SAP – with top xRM Process Designer

The top xRM Process Designer offers a powerful and flexible solution for managing and automating business processes. It enables user-friendly configuration of ESS/MSS scenarios without major programming effort. It is designed as a stand-alone module and enables the creation and management of processes even without integration into a personnel file. This means that companies can use the Process Designer flexibly to design and automate a wide range of HR and ESS processes, even if they do not use the complete digital personnel file from top flow.

With the top xRM Process Designer, customized ESS (Employee Self-Services) processes can be designed flexibly and efficiently to facilitate independent administrative tasks for employees and relieve HR teams.

Conceivable ESS processes could be, for example:

  1. Notifications of changes to personal data
    Changes to personal data such as address, bank details or emergency contacts can be adjusted independently, which significantly reduces the HR workload for data entry.
  2. Notification of pregnancy
    The employee should inform her employer of her pregnancy as soon as she is aware of it. The expected date of delivery should also be communicated, from which the start of maternity protection can be calculated and confirmed to the employee in writing
  3. Birth of a child
    Informing the employer about the birth of a child affects the rights and obligations in relation to parental leave and maternity protection. The employer can thus be informed of the birth and the date of return to work as quickly as possible via the ESS.
  4. Annual appraisal
    Annual appraisals, target agreements and feedback rounds can be initiated and tracked via the self-service. Documents can be made available for viewing and editing as required.
  5. Requesting certificates
    Employers issue certificates for various purposes as proof to authorities or companies. To reduce the HR workload, documents can be created automatically via templates using the employee data available in SAP HCM
  6. Application for secondary employment
    Secondary employment may be subject to notification if this has been agreed in the employment contract or company agreements. A workflow for the approval process can be started by displaying it in the ESS scenario and attaching documents.
  7. Request for a change in working hours
    Employees can request a change in their working hours, e.g. due to further training or for health reasons. The data can be automatically transferred to SAP HCM via the employer’s written request and approval

A large number of additional processes are possible. The top xRM Process Designer makes it possible to design these ESS processes individually and in line with requirements so that HR processes run efficiently and employees can contribute to the active management of their data.
